Hey registered exercisers, thanks for checking back with the blog.  The servers have completed the change over and I'm working with Justin on getting some new features on the site including video sharing, enabling you to upload your own videos to share on Get Exercised!  I'll keep you posted on the happenings.

Also, if you got a request for one of my videos, please email me to let me know.

Lastly, the blogs have been slacking here due to my daily blog at Wow Women's World.  The official site isn't launched, but you can read my daily blog there at:

Thanks for watching!

Best,

Dina

This blog entry doesn't offer any special insight, but just wanted to say how excited I am about the new site look!  Kudos to Justin Alba, my site designer.  It's come so far during it's brief existence.  There will be new things popping up on the site within the next few months, so stay tuned.  Hello to the new registered users on the site and thank you for stopping by.  Please sign the guestbook if you get a chance.

Happy Wednesday,

Wow, I really suck at this blog thing.  Suck at making it a habit.  Just have some thoughts.

Lately I've been really thinking about doing things without expecting anything in return which is a lesson taught in yoga practices.  Of course there's going to be some degree of expecting something in return (ie, work=paycheck).  The stuff I'm personally trying to let go of is needing approval from others, which is a major issue for a lot of actors.  Needing to hear "great job," "you're so talented," and then being super crushed when hearing "you're not that great."  I'm finally realizing when I let go of that need, life is so much more enjoyable!

For example, think of your favorite activity to do that's not a basic human need like food, sleep or sex.  Painting, playing guitar, singing, teaching.  If you had a choice between only doing one of the following 1) the activity itself, or 2) receiving feedback about the activity (applause, praise).  You have to pick one or the other and can't do both..I think overwhelmingly most people would choose number 1.  That pretty much says it all.

So just do it and breathe.

New habits can be hard to develop and hold on to.  Like writing in a blog.  Uh...that hasn't quite happened for me yet but that doesn't mean I can't start fresh everyday.  Do you have any resolutions or projects you've been meaning to start but keep putting off?  The first step will only take five minutes.  Do it now.

Last week I tried the Neti Pot for the first time.  It's one of those little pots sold at health food stores, and now seen on Oprah!  You put a saline solution in the pot, stick the end in one nostril, tilt your head to the side and the saline pours out the other nostril.  It's supposed to be good for removing toxins, excess mucus, etc. from your nasal passages.  I just felt like I was going to drown.
