About Dina E-mail

Dina Prioste began her inflexible journey with dance classes in the late 90's while studying acting in CA.  She was otherwise healthy but very frustrated with her limited range of movement and  hated stretching; however, the strength & power of vinyasa yoga really appealed to her.  In 2001, she began her yoga practice in NYC with a borrowed VHS tape and had a feeling she would teach yoga someday.

Later Dina became an enthusiastic New York Road Runner competing in races but careless overtraining  resulted in a groin pull, forcing her to stop any exercise for three months to heal and reconsider what she really wanted in life.  She then decided to stop procrastinating  and become a yoga instructor with the intent to prevent others from making the same mistake and promote safe and healthy fitness.

In 2004 Dina received a 200 hour Vinyasa Yoga certification from Atmananda Yoga in New York, NY and began teaching group classes and private clients. Since then she has taught at the MS Bike Tour , NYU Relay for Life three years in a row, has appeared on WB 11, Fox, and NY1 in demonstrations with Crunch Fitness , and enjoyed practicing her vinyasa flow at a sport wear launch while modeling Fila’s yoga line.

Dina spiced up her teaching skills in 2006 and got certified as a Spinning instructor from Mad Dogg Athletics ; she brings yoga mindfulness to the intense cardio workouts in her spin classes.

In May 2009 Dina completed a 300 hour advanced yoga certification with Elizabeth Neuse of B Yoga in New York to become a certified 500 hour instructor, also receiving certifications to teach Pre/Post Natal and Therapeutic Yoga.

Currently she teaches group yoga and spin classes in the Bay Area, CA and produces the weekly video podcast, Get Exercised, to help people laugh while inspiring them to live a healthy, joyous and mindful life.   She credits her vegan diet and daily yoga & meditation practice to her much improved flexibility and well being.

Dina is represented by Marla Dell Talent in San Francisco.
